It’s the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
Now is the time to shop for all those key items for the upcoming Fall Season!
Who doesn’t want all the latest fashion, beauty & lifestyle pieces at huge discounts!?
(FYI: Nordstrom Card Holders get early access to the sale from July 12th-19th & then it opens to the Public on the 20th of this month.)
A few personal tips for shopping the sale:
- If you’re purchasing online from nordstrom.com,they offer free shipping & returns so feel free to order multiple sizes on certain pieces to make sure you get one that fits without fear of it selling out!
- Items WILL sell out but Nordstrom tends to bring things back periodically throughout the sale as well as add even more, so I recommend placing things on your “Wish List” & if/when they get more in-stock you can easily see that they’ve become available & pop it into your shopping cart!
- That leads me to my next point, you can shop online & pick-up in-store! Why not try stuff on there!?….That way anything that doesn’t work out you can exchange or return right away!
- If you’re planning on heading into the store, make a list of key items you know you want ahead of time, browse the catalog & peruse your now filled wish list (Tip: you can check online to see if specific things are available at your local location.) If they aren’t, check surrounding stores. (The cool thing about Nordstrom is that as long as it is available somewhere in a brick & mortar YOUR store can ship it to you for free!)
- Don’t forget to look at the home section! They ALWAYS have some really cool stuff to refresh your space.

“Now let’s talk about actual items to purchase!”
My rules of thumb when it comes to shopping this sale:
Think ” STAPLE, TRANSITIONAL & EXPERIMENT”
- First off, refresh STAPLE pieces like jeans, t-shirts, comfy sweaters, everyday shoes… as well as beauty & hair care items from brands you already know you love & will get tons of use out of!
- Second, think about TRANSITIONAL pieces that will carry you from now all the way through the winter time. What will be some awesome layering pieces? Do you have a cool jacket that would look great with tons of other things? No? Now is the time to get it!
- Next, go ahead & EXPERIMENT a bit with some stand outs like this bag, these sunglasses or any of these booties. A few show stoppers that are still versatile are a great addition to anyone’s closet!!!
- Lastly, TRY & be practical! It’s easy to get caught up in the frenzy of a sale so think about your town’s weather patterns or where you’ll be going over the next 6 mo. For example; If it’s not somewhere super chilly, do you really need some heavy coat or boots no matter how cool they look or what a good deal you’re getting? Same goes for that evening gown! Save your $$$ for things you’ll actually use on the daily!
