My Girls Night Out Outfit

When I was putting this outfit together I kept thinking about going out with my girlfriends. I absolutely love girls nights & this outfit really spoke to that type of occasion. As we get older & busier, I think it is super important to carve out some time with your girlfriends. Those girls that make you laugh, can commiserate, offer up sage advice & helpful tips, let you blow off some steam & most importantly allow you to relax a bit & have some fun.

More & more often these days while I definitely want to look good, my main goal is to feel comfortable, especially for a Girls Night. I’ve just reached a point in my life where I don’t want to worry about shoes that are killing me after 20 minutes or a dress that doesn’t let you breathe or sit down, etc…..

While I’m basically wearing “jeans & a sweater,” the off the shoulder element & bold red lip make it a bit sultry & the details I chose in the accessories (animal print, blue velvet, glitter heels & gold accents) amp up the fun aspect.

This sweater is soooo soft & the embroidered messages on the front & back are amazing! I love clothing brands like Wildfox. Their designs give off a sense of frivolity & a bit of humor. Any piece of clothing that makes me smile or gives me a chuckle, I’m instantly drawn to.

STS Blue ‘Taylor Embroidered Tomboy Jeans’ I have to admit that when the whole embroidered jean trend was first introduced as a current staple item to have in your closet, I was a bit skeptical. But when I found this pair of relaxed jeans with the delicate embroidered detail on one side, I was instantly more open to the idea of embroidery on someone over the age of 18.
