First off, yes yes & a third YES (for good measure,) you CAN wear floral prints in winter. It is all about how you style them. I try to choose a floral that doesn’t overpower the rest of the look. I tend to go for neutral/earth-toned prints in order to achieve this. One of my favorite ways to incorporate florals in the cooler months is on a tunic or dress. Try pairing them with jeans or thick opaque tights to stay cozy yet chic. I also like to mix light tones with darker ones in order to make a look more fall/winter appropriate.

This tunic by Free People caught my eye right away. The earthy color scheme, flowing sleeves & tied neckline detail reminded me of the best parts of 60’s fashion all rolled into one. Free People, as a brand, always seems to get it right in the fall and wintertime. In fact, I would say almost half of my winter wardrobe is by them. This Free People Floral Print Smock Tunic is on SALE at Lord & Taylor. It is also available at a discounted price at Nordstrom here & at Belk online here. I found it on the FP website in 2 colors (but it’s under a different name & full price for some reason.) It’s the So Fine Tunic.
My blush faux fur vest by Wayf is old but I’ve found several options online that give a similar vibe. Here are my picks: Make Me Chic Vest, Overstock Vest, Lulu’s Vest & Unique Vintage Shag Vest.
One of the easiest ways to transition a look from day to night is a simple shoe switch up.
DAY: Because Booties are still so popular, I chose to pair my outfit with these slouchy Splendid “Rodeo Booties” for my daytime shoe pick. The light suede & wood heel keeps the look more casual & comfortable.
NIGHT: Over the Knee Boots are literally everywhere right now! I defy you to find one style guru or celebrity that isn’t sporting this trend. I prefer wearing this style at night paired with dresses & tights or skinny jeans. It keeps me from feeling a little too Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman.” Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with that. Hey, if you got it…..
I really appreciate that so many shoe brands are on board with this boot trend & therefore, you can easily find OTKB in every price range. My stretch suede “Emotion” boots by Steve Madden are a really really good dupe/knock-off for a very expensive and well known brand with the initials S.W.(wink wink.)

I spoke lovingly about the grey version of this fedora by Rag & Bone in my Street Chic post. I then saw that the brown version had gone on major SALE soooooo… well you can guess what happened.
Aviators are classics! Switch it up by choosing a pair with colored lenses.
My jeweled “Crescent Ring” by Mr. Kate has been a staple jewelry item as of late. I like to pile on my jewelry in the wintertime for some added sparkle. Try it out! I bet you’ll love it.
The “Terra Ring” on my pointer finger by Stella & Dot is so cool with it’s hexagon shape. I also love how light it is (I barely register that it’s on my hand) & adjustable. Buy this ring on SALE right now through their website here. They have a matching pair of earrings too!
Boho Betty USA “Saddle Stud” wrap bracelet.
Suede, gold, crystals, studs…. this wrap bracelet lets me pretend I’m cooler than I actually am. I enjoyed the tan one so much I had to pick up the black version too. They look great layered! I have a couple coupon codes for everything on the BB USA website. Save a bit of cash while you shop.
